How Far Along?: 37 Weeks
Genders?: BOYS
How Big Are Babies?: The size of a Winter Melon. They should be around 5 ½ to 6 pounds now! We finally made it to full term and babies are ready to enter the world!
Weight Gain?: I haven't weighed myself in a while but I'm guessing I've gained somewhere around 55 pounds.
Workouts?: I've been walking a lot more lately. I also got an exercise ball and have been bouncing on that. Let's hope it encourages them to come on out!
Symptoms?: I've been having cramps and contractions. At my last NST I had them every 3-5 minutes. I also lost my mucus plug this week, so hopefully that's a sign I'll go into labor soon.
Wedding Ring On or Off?: Still off, not going to even try to put any jewelry on at this point.
Stretch Marks?: Under my boobs and the few on my butt. The ones around my belly button have gotten slightly worse because of the PUPPS.
Belly Button?: Out!
Movements?: They move, a lot but it's mostly just them rolling around and changing positions, it's not as easy to tell.
Sleep?: Non-existent! I hardly sleep at all and I've gotten so uncomfortable I can't even roll over in bed anymore.
What I Miss?: Being comfortable and being able to sleep.
Food Cravings?: Hard boiled eggs and sushi.....what a weird paring.
Food Aversions?: None.
Labor Signs?: Contractions, sharp pains, losing my mucus plug and change in bowels (TMI sorry).
What I Look Forward to This Week?: Meeting my sweet baby boys!
Notes: At my last NST I was 1 cm dilated + 25% effaced. The OB said she could feel/bounce Baby A's head! He's getting ready! Our induction day is exactly 1 week away!
|NST UPDATE|
Today I had a routine NST and the boys actually behaved. Woo! They weren't on the monitors long, but the OB came in to talk to me and checked the fluid levels. They had good fluid thank goodness, in the 3-5 cm range. After measuring their fluids, she talked to me about a membrane sweep.
This never came up before this week and to be honest I had heard they were really painful so I was nervous about it. But, if it could put me into labor naturally before being induced I was all for it. It lasted about 30-45 seconds but let me tell you.....it was not comfortable!
I was 1.5 cm dilated + still 25% effaced when she did it so hopefully this will progress me more. After the sweep I was bleeding a good amount so I just need to keep an eye on it. The cramps that follow are not fun...
After essentially being violated, we sat down and talked about the details of my induction and I signed the consent form saying that they could deliver my babies. Weird...I'm thinking to myself "Well who else is gonna do it? Not my husband I'll tell you that much." Hopefully these babies make an appearance on their own!
