Twin Hospital Bag Essentials

Twin Hospital Bag Essentials

When I scroll through Facebook, all I see are pictures of babies or pictures of my friends who are preggers. I'm loving all these babies! I just recently came across a few posts from a couple friends who were wondering what they were going to need in their diaper bags for delivery. I want to help all my pregnant mamas out, and with that said I decided to put together this list of my hospital bag essentials. This is my list for twins but can work for single babies too! So, let's get started!

For The Babes:

  • Diaper Bag (I LOVE my Vera Bradley Diaper Bag, has enough room for everything I need)
  • Diapers (Only if you plan to use a specific brand. We brought them but didn't even use them because the hospital supplied them for us. You'll definitely need some preemies if you're having twins!)
  • 2-4 Receiving Blankets
  • 2 Burpy Bibs (I LOVE these!)
  • 2 Beanies
  • 2 Pairs of Socks
  • A Few Sets of Clothes: Premie and Newborn (I had both sizes just in case...they ended up in preemie)
  • 2 Carseats

Mama's Toiletries:

  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Brush
  • Hair Tie
  • Hair Clip
  • Headband
  • Lotion

  • Makeup (After feeling like a troll for a while I needed to make myself feel better!)

  • Robe
  • 2-3 Pairs Underwear (More if you think you'll be there longer!)
  • Nursing Bras

  • Cloth Nursing Pads (Less likely to give you infections that the disposable ones!)
  • Wallet: Cash & ID
  • Snacks

  • iPod (With killer labor and delivery playlist of course!)
  • Speakers
  • Laptop

Others:

  • Bags for Freebies (The hospitals always give you soo many things to take home, and take advantage of this!)
  • Thank You Cards for Staff (I had killer nurses and doctors and hand wrote all of them thank you notes)
  • Comfy Pillows (That you don't mind staining because trust me blood will find a way...)
