6 months old! How can it already be half a year!? They're growing way too fast for this mama.
The last time I had one of the boys weighed was about a week ago. Liam weighed 13 pounds 4 ounces, so I'm guessing Bentley is somewhere around that area too. They're still small for their age, but that's ok. They're healthy and growing so that's all that matters! We have a six month check up in about 2 ½ weeks and I can't wait to see how much they've grown.
I thought it would be fun to do a little half birthday photo shoot and they came out so adorable.
Here are some of my favorites:
Eat
These boys eat like champs. We recently started them on formula and the weaning process has been rough. They're doing just fine, it's my body that doesn't agree....It's been a slow (and sometimes painful) process, but I'm getting better and better each week. We're up to about 3-4 bottles a day and breastfeeding about 2-3 times. I also strictly breastfeed at night. We've started solids within the last couple of weeks and that has been so much fun! We've given them: Sweet potatoes, butternut squash, avocados and bananas. Sweet Potatoes made them gassy, so those were not their favorite, but they love butternut squash. HATED avocados with a passion but LOVE bananas. I can't wait to try new foods with them!
Sleep
They've gotten so much better with their sleep and thank goodness for that! We put them down around 7:30pm-8:30pm and if I didn't wake them up around midnight to feed (my boobs get so full I have to empty them) they'd sleep until around 3:00-4:00 in the morning. They're still waking up to eat throughout the night and haven't quite gotten the sleeping a full eight hours yet, but they're slowly getting better. I can't wait until I get to sleep all the way through the night. I'm still exhausted, but what twin mama isn't?!
I have so much fun watching them grow and explore. Liam is so close to crawling it's insane! He gets up on all fours and he's definitely mobile, but he does this low crawl thing. Once he figures out how to get up and do that he'll be off and running. He's such a smiley baby and loves cuddles with mama and daddy. He LOVES his puppy Mya and plays with her all the time. I love watching him laugh and giggle at her it just melts my heart!
Bentley is my sweet little man. He's close to crawling, but not quite there yet either. He scoots himself around and he's starting to sit up on his own. Liam on the other hand, still needs more help with that. Bentley loves watching movies with me and playing Xbox with daddy. (Probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen). They're talkative little guys and I couldn't have asked for a better job than being their mama.
Can't wait to see what month 7 brings!
