Easter 2017

Easter 2017

Wow this week flew by! I had been meaning to post this sooner, but this week just got away from me. Before I knew it, it was already Saturday...With that said, this past weekend was a whirlwind! We got to witness our friends homecoming, which of course took place at almost midnight on Saturday.

We drove the two hours back to Temecula, where we were going to spend Easter. We didn't actually end up going to bed that night until 3:30am. Safe to say, we were not well rested for Easter. In fact, I felt like a walking zombie.

The hubby and I were up by 7:30am on Sunday and got the little ones settled while also trying to get ourselves together. For some reason, the boys always end up being too small for their Easter outfits. Last year they were SWIMMING in their newborn outfits and even though they're in 12 month clothes now, they somehow managed to be too small for these ones as well. Regardless they looked adorable.

It was nice to see family that we haven't seen in about a year. The last time we were in Temecula was the week we were PCSing to Florida. Which I can't believe was only a year ago....

We ate, laughed and got to enjoy each others company. We also had an Easter egg hunt for the littles, although that was a bit of a disaster. When you try to wrangle two toddlers and an infant nothing works properly! It was a good time though and I'm happy we got to celebrate with family and friends.

On the other hand, it was also my husband's birthday! (Poor guy) Most people were too pre-occupied with Easter to remember, but he didn't want to make a big deal out of it anyways this year so it worked out!

We spent most of the day there and ended up leaving around 2:30pm to head back to Arizona. It felt like the longest drive ever and we finally rolled back onto base around 6:00pm. We were all so exhausted from the weekend, that we went to bed before 8:00pm. But man did we need that sleep! It took me a good few days to just feel back to normal.

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

P.s Can you believe that they were ever this small!?
