Cooper | 18 Month Update

Cooper | 18 Month Update

It's been a while since I've done an update on our little man. He's such a joy to be around and I can't believe he's already 18 months old. Where did the time go? I feel like I was just bringing him home from the hospital. Now he's running around saying things like "milk please, thank you!"

It's amazing how much can change in just a year and a half. He's grown into such a spunky little man. He adds so much character to our growing family and I can't imagine our lives without him.

He doesn't just love his brothers, he wants to be ONE of them. I always say he wants to be the third twin ha! He learns so much from them and always wants to play with them. Sometimes a bit too much...Poor little guy doesn't understand that the big kids don't always want to play with him.

He's weighing in at a whopping 23 lbs (only a couple lbs difference from the twins) His 18 month well check is just around the corner and I'm excited to see how much he's grown. We are still in size 4 diapers but he's about to bust out of them and into size 5 here soon.

He's also saying SO many words! His vocabulary as of now :: mama, dada (although you torture your daddy by calling him mama most of the time), Nala, milk, thank you, please, bye, hi, cheese, no, ball, dog, shoes, more, baby, potty, mine, car, banana (nana), ow, all done and uh-oh. He's such a big boy and my mama heart isn't ready for him to grow up yet.

My Sweet Cooper Man...

You are spunky, funny and the life of the party.

You hate to share, but we're working on it.

You get jealous when your brothers get attention and usually try to squeeze yourself into hugs and kisses.

you love the water and would play in it all day if mama let you.

I'm amazed at how smart you are and how many words you already know.

You are full of SAS and character and I wouldn't have it any other way.

You are fiercely loyal to your brothers, yet so independent. I'll find you in any room of the house helping yourself to whatever it is you have your eyes set on...including mama's computer.

You are NUTS over bananas and would eat an entire bunch just like the monkey you are.

Your favorite thing is to close ALL. THE. DOORS. Doesn't matter who is on the other side. I often here the screams of your brothers as you lock them in the closet...

I love when you are getting scolded and start that adorable pouty lip...queue the crocodile tears. Even when you cry you're adorable. You run with your arms waving around like the waving inflatable arm guy.

You love to help, you always pull out your vacuum and help mama clean any chance you get.

You've also already showed serious interest in the potty. I'm not sure if it's from watching your brothers use the potty or if you're just a little genius. I'm hoping you will follow in their footsteps and catch on to the potty training thing quickly. Although lets hope you get it down far sooner than they did!

Favorite foods at the moment :: mac n cheese, cottage cheese, string cheese (are we seeing a pattern here?), bananas, cereal, yogurt, smoothies, snack bars, fruit pouches and MILK.

Sleep was a struggle the first 12 months but now you are a pretty stellar sleeper. Although I wish you weren't such a early bird riser. Mama needs her sleep too kiddo.

I can't wait to see you as a big brother, I know you will love your baby sister fiercely and can see you as my biggest helper with her!

Baby boy, I love you so much and am so blessed to watch you grow. Never change who you are, keep being the wild soul you are.
