Bumpdate | 34 Weeks

Bumpdate | 34 Weeks

How Far Along?:  34 weeks! It's crazy to me how he could be here anywhere from 2-6ish weeks from now!

Weight Gain: At this point I've gained about 25 lbs. I weighed myself and was SHOCKED. I'm definitely starting to pack on more weight as he gets bigger!

Gender?: BOY! I really can't wait to see what he looks like!

How Big is Baby?: He's the size of a butternut squash and weighing in at about 4.7 lbs and 17.7 in long. His skin is getting ready for life outside the womb as the vernix that protects it begins to thicken. The vernix is a barrier between his developing skin and amniotic fluid. Eventually, it will also help protect his skin during delivery. At this point, his testicles will be descending from his abdomen into his scrotum.

Basically, at 34 weeks he looks a lot like he will when he's born, just with less body fat. At this point, it’s all about the finishing touches.

Symptoms: I've been having some heartburn lately, but overall just need to stretch more because I'm SO tight. I really need to get back into exercising. Better late than never I guess!

Any Food Cravings?: Not much honestly, but I've really been enjoying a homemade iced chai latté with homemade creamer. YUM.

Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty well lately and have been getting up around 6am everyday. WHO AM I?! But slowly creating a better sleep environment has helped a lot!

Stretch Marks?: No new ones that I've noticed. But my old ones are just more pronounced. I do however have a sunburn on my belly that's peeling now.

Maternity Clothes?: Yup! I've been living in my dresses and my maternity leggings for the most part.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: On!

What Do You Miss the Most?: Fitting in clothes and feeling good with how I look.

What Are You Most Excited For This Next Week?: Spending Easter with my family! I can't wait for the kids to see their baskets.

Labor Signs?: Nope!

Favorite Memory From Last Week?: Spending time at the beach with the kids. I even did some yoga on the beach while they looked for shells and sea glass.
