Bumpdate | 23 Weeks

Bumpdate | 23 Weeks

How Far Along?:  23 weeks! It's crazy to think that in a couple of days we will have reached the age of viability! I always take a huge exhale once we hit that point.

Weight Gain: The last I checked I gained about 10-11 lbs. So I'm hovering anywhere between 127-131 depending on the day. I'm finally starting to slowly gain weight.

Gender?: BOY!

How Big is Baby?: He's the size of a grapefruit! Weighing in at about 1.1 pounds and 11.4 inches long. With ridges forming on his palms and the soles of his feet, his little fingerprints and footprints are still taking shape. Baby is entertaining himself by listening to my voice and my heartbeat and can even hear some loud sounds like cars honking and dogs barking.

He's also working on brain development, building muscle by kicking and punching and gaining the fat that will make those cheeks so kissable. He's also practicing breathing and reacting to what happens to my body. I've also noticed that baby seems to sleep when I move around but likes to start his gymnastics routine right when I'm ready to sleep.

Symptoms: I've been feeling quite a bit better lately which I'm so thankful for. My gut still isn't 100% but I've made HUGE progress over the last week. I've been struggling so much with sleep. Since Wes left I haven't been able to fall asleep. I'm not even tired at 1am. It's been rough. I'm trying to get in bed earlier and I hope I can get into a better routine.

Any Food Cravings?: Smoothie bowls! They've been hitting the spot. I've been adding collagen to mine for that added 10-11g of protein.

Sleep: Horrible.

Stretch Marks?: No new ones that I've noticed. But my old ones are just more pronounced.

Maternity Clothes?: Yes and no. I have a few staple pieces but can still wear some of my normal clothes too.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: On!

What Do You Miss the Most?: Sleeping comfortably and having energy.

What Are You Most Excited For This Next Week?: Honestly there's not much on the agenda for next week. Just hoping to get into a better routine with homeschool for the kids.

Labor Signs?: Nope!

Favorite Memory From Last Week?: I wouldn't say it was a favorite, but we got to say goodbye to Wes at the port before he deployed so I'm grateful for that time.
